Pink is the color du jour. When I started this page, the pink was PINK as in Pepto Bismallish. I added the lady’s and then ‘knocked down’ the whole thing with some white. I was not at all sure what I wanted to do in the way of ‘hair’ for these women friends, so I decided to go pink with that too, and added some flowers for hair. I did my private journaling underneath and covered most of it, adding the ‘Think Pink’ to remind me of what is written underneath.
I went to the mailbox yesterday, fighting through the spitting snow and bitter cold, to find something that warmed my heart. My long-time, long seperated, artfully reunited, friend, Laurie Blau-Marshall sent me a little surprise with a book I purchased from her etsy shop. This is special, as it is her first published work, (Somerset Memories December 2008)and was done in honor of our friendship. I can’t tell you how wonderful it made me feel to open it. I’m honored Laurie, and though it graces my Christmas decortated fireplace mantel now, it will go into my studio to remind me of all of the wonderful things that have come out of my artful journey this past 1 1/2 years. Thank you girlfriend. May your holidays be filled with the warmth of family and friends!
As you may have notice, I am working on adding a custom signature to my blog posts. I have finally decided on one and am really excited to add this little extra special touch. So much to learn in this world of blog land, but having blogged for about a year now, I have become addicted. It is so fun to meet new people, see their work, and keep in touch on a regular basis. It connects us and makes this big old world a much smaller, friendlier place. If you like blogging, leave a comment, I try to get back to all of you who do. Blog on!
