This is a 4-week online course that will begin Monday, November 8, 2010.

Many of us have amassed a collection of things in our journey as artists. It’s time to use some of those precious resources to create art that tells who you are by the very things you use to make it. Creating from the things that surround you is personal and gives much meaning to your work. Participants are encouraged to use things they already have rather than going out to buy more.

Once you enroll, you will receive a FREE An Angel’s Anthology Kit that includes: Custom 10-page color tutorial book designed by Pam Carriker, containing instructions on how to create faces, Vintage ledger paper, Cheesecloth, Cretacolor Fine Art Graphite Pencil, Seashells, Vintage buttons, Rusted key.

Once you are all settled into this site, you’ll be able to create your profile, participate in forum discussions, chats, and more. The great thing about CRESCENDOh Creative Lab is that once you sign up, you are part of a community … where you can interact as much or as little with the other members of the community – at your pace, and in the comfort of your own home.

Aside from the kit, what you will need for class are as follows: Canvas (whatever size you like), Gesso, Molding paste, Palette knife, Assorted acrylic paints, Paint brushes, Water soluble crayon, Sandpaper, Blending stump, Assorted vintage findings, ephemera, words, anything you collect, Soft gel medium, Acrylic glazing medium, Cardboard, paper, and tissue scraps, Assorted stamps and stencils (you only need a few, so try using what you already have), Permanent ink pad, Chalk ink pad(s), Black and white pens.
