It’s that time again, time for the
Mind Wide Open Challenge. Gail provided another stunning image for us to use. The little girls look like they are all dressed up for Christmas, so I decided to make some Victorian inspired ornaments. I used a template from The Stampers’ Sampler, and some of the techniques I used in my pieces that are featured in there this month. The little windows have collaged bits of papers, and are filled in with Diamond Glaze to give them the appearance of old glass. The card stock has been distressed, stamped, inked and has bits of papers collaged onto it as well. Some

lovely beaded fringe hangs from the bottom and some have a beautiful red cardinal attached. Ornate hangers, c

rystal snowflakes, paper roses, old, rusty keys, and ribbon complete the embellishments. These are completely decorated on the back as well, with bits of real vintage sheet music, a vintage Santa, and more. Voting starts on the 7th, so don’t forget to head over to MWO for inspiring ideas and lots of beautiful goodies to look at.
