Registration is now open for Artful Gathering, the online Art Retreat! Don’t delay in signing up for the class(es) of your choice because once registration closes (June 20th) the opportunity ends. I’m offering an optional DVD of both of these workshops that can only be purchased inside of the classroom at a nominal fee. This allows for those who may not have the time to do the class while it’s live, to do it at their own pace or for those who want to have unending access to the videos to revisit the workshop whenever they like.
I hope you’ll consider joining me for one or two of the only online classes i’m offering this year!!

Hello Pam,
I’ve never taken one of your online classes, but I own your Art Journaling DVD from Interweave Press. I haven’t made an art journal because I can’t draw — only stick figures. I hope your online class will help me. Will we be adding the portraits to an art journal? I don’t know how to work with paint either. I once tried making an art journal, but my pages turned out very muddy. Sadly, I threw the project away.

You can certainly add your work to an art journal in this class. I suggest one in the supply list that works really well for both sketching and wet media that we will experiment with in class. Remember too that drawing skills aren’t necessary to create an art journal. You can use collage, paint, stamps and many other things to represent your voice artistically:-)

Can we buy the DVD without taking the online class?

No, I’m sorry but I’m only offering it as a courtesy to those who take the class so they can view the lessons after the workshop is over.

I’ve taken several of your online classes and have loved them all. I’ve never done much drawing, however. Would this class be appropriate for a beginner like me?

Hi Susan,
Yes! This class is very appropriate for a beginner. I show step by step how to map, draw and shade front, side and 3/4 view profiles with an easy system I developed. I also show 3 ways to incorporate other media into your sketches. I think you’d find it very helpful:-)
