I recently opened a new shop and slowly but surely have been moving things over there. The new shop, pamcarriker.etsy.com is for original artwork and comissions. My old shop, thebagladysart.etsy.com will hold all of my prints. I outsource my printmaking to a professional printer and have really loved the results. I just listed several new prints and will be listing a few more, including my ballerina, ‘Wistful Glories’ next week. I only make 20 prints of 8×10 size of each work. The prints come with custom mats so you can easily pop them right into a frame. The mats are signed and titled and the prints are signed and numbered on the back in archival
pen. For more printing information you can checkout my shop.
This is the latest limited edition print I am offering. ‘Letting Go’ is featured in the current Cloth Paper Scissors The original is not for sale.
I would love if you would come by and heart my new shop, I will return the favor!

Published in the Stampers’ Sampler!!!
What a great surprise awaited me in the mailbox today! I found an issue of the Stampers’ Sampler and when I opened it up expecting to find my ‘Star Spangled Banner’ on one of the pages, I find an article 3 pages long!
I really was taken aback, they did a wonderful job photographing it too. I have the banner hanging on my fireplace mantel for Memorial Day and the Fourth. But that wasn’t all, I skimmed through the rest of the magazine, because that’s what I always do first, and there on another page were two more pieces I had submitted for their Tempting Template call. I submitted two cards made using their template. Inside of these is an altered teabag, with a vintage photo of both Chamomile, and Earl Gray. This was a fun template to design around. Check out the Stampers’ Sampler if you get a chance to. And be sure to look for the next issue as I am very honored to be the featured guest artist. It was a lot of fun to answer the interview questions:-) It is an indescribable feeling to look through these magazines that I have been reading for some time and see my work. And to think, I wouldn’t have dreamed of submitting work without the wonderful support of the online art community.
Great News, and more Great News!!
Today is just so full of good news that I have to share it with my friends! The first thing that happened, was that I got the layout for my article in Cloth, Paper, Scissors! I actually cried, I’m such a baby, but this is such a dream come true for me. The article is titled ‘Art at the Speed of Life, how a busy mom finds time for art and still gets dinner on the table’. It will appear in the July/August issue and is 7 pages long. The editor had asked for three ‘sets’ of artwork (that will be explained in the article) so that they could have some to choose from. They ended up using all of it. I’m still just dazed. I love that publication and to think of being in it leaves me pinching myself.
Now for the OTHER exciting news, that had me bawling today! My PFC, son, Christopher sent me my first letter! I have been waiting to hear from him and I won’t lie, it’s agonizing. I didn’t even have a way to write to him until he sent the address. It was so good to hear that he is well, and ‘really liking the whole army thing’. I can’t send him any cookies though, because the Sargent will make him do a push up for each cookie and eat them while he’s doing the push ups🙂 Oh well, that will come later. I am just overwhelmed right now and no one is home to share any of it with. Thanks for all of the support, it is so encouraging to hear from you all. Hope your day is going great too!
