Here’s a new video tutorial showing a way to create a self portrait in your art journal. Self portraits are a fun exercise for your journaling and this technique uses just a few simple tools and requires no drying time making it an easy way to experiment with the face you see in the mirror every day. Add your inner thoughts and you have a personal glimpse into a day in the life of you! This video is one of the instructional videos I did for Strathmore Artist Papers and is a short version of one of the lessons from my Journal 365 workshop. There’s still time to join before registration closes and you will have a full year to complete all 12 lessons.

I have a lot of catching up to do in the Journal 365 workshop!! I have, though, been doing a bit of ‘fearless’ sketching (the only way I can manage:) and it is fun.
I love, love, love your new book!!

Thanks Pam, this is awesome! I actually got out my Strathmore Journal and tried this along with you. I never would have done a self portrait before seeing your techniques. Thanks for sharing and I picked up your book yesterday after Suzi Blu mentioned it was at Barnes & Noble!

Hi Pam. Thanks so much for the video. You make sketching — or really any of the art that I’ve seen you do in video — seam so easy. I finally got your book — I’ve had it pre-ordered on Amazon forever. Love it.

Thank you so much for this video. I would never be able to draw a picture of my face. This is great and I can’t wait to try it. I have your new book and it is wonderful. You are so talented. I’m 58 but I want to be as good as you when I grow up
