I give you the moon and the stars

Just a ‘for fun’ page, while I have been a bit behind on posting new journal pages, I’m still doing them:-) This page was started when my online class began and finished a couple of days ago. More work in my Moleskine journal. What a fun learning experience my first online class was, there is never a time like the first time!

ZNE’s ConvenZioNE

It’s coming up soon! ZNE’s ConvenZioNE has opened up it’s class registration. I am very excited to be going and I even get to teach a little make and take, how fun is that? I will be sharing my little ‘Caged Heart’ ATC that was published in Cloth, Paper, Scissors last year. I have signed up to take classes from Chrysti Hydeck, and Brandie Butcher-Isley. To see all of the available classes click on the title to this post.

144 Reasons Why I Love Valentine’s Day

While Valentine’s Day is a time to reflect on all things romantic, it is an extra special time for my DH and I. 10 years ago, we were apart on our first Valentines’ Day. He was on a trip and I spent the day missing him terribly. We decided to celebrate on the 17th and when he picked me up after a day of teaching preschool, he whisked me off to a lovely Victorian house turned restaurant on the Puget Sound in Washington. We had the best seats in the place with a view of the sunset. 144 beautiful roses graced our table and just when I thought things could not get any better, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! The whole restaurant clapped and I of course cried. As you can see in the picture neither one of us is dressed up. He thoughtfully wore comparable clothing to my preschool teacher attire to keep the surprise and not let on where we were going. I still have my roses, they are dried and saved in a large vase, a constant reminder of that magic day when I said ‘Yes’!

No, I didn’t forget:-)

Just in case you are wondering, I did create art yesterday, still ‘on the wagon’ I just didn’t get a chance to post it. I am going to be offering some smaller scale original works, on 185lb watercolor (acrylic) paper that will come already matted. It’s so fun to own original work but not always a practical choice with today’s economy. This little lady is the first of a series of ‘Little Women’ that will each be numbered. It is ATC/ACEO size (2 1/2 x 3 1/2) and is matted to a 5×7 size. This size will be stamped with all of the info just as an ATC, but can be easily slipped into a 5×7 frame for instant, wall art. These will be available in my Etsy Shop.
Now back to finish my Valentine’s Day cookies. Love to all of my sweet readers, have a lovely day!
