I used 140lb watercolor paper, coated with gesso on both sides for a nice heavy, feel and to ensure it lays flat. I have collaged papers, layered with Golden acrylics, stamps, stencils and charcoal, to achieve a nice depth to the piece. A snippet from a vintage postcard (provided by Dawn Edmondson on her blog the feathered nest) some vintage stamps, a sweet little birds nest and angelic butterfly wings, help us to remember days gone by and a not forgotten era.
